- Description
- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for the upcoming procurement for FSC 4240 - Goggles. GSA Southwest Supply Center, Fire and Industrial Acquisition Division intends to issue a requirements contract solicitation for the proposed contract period of 12/1/08 – 11/30/09 with 4 one year option periods. Items to be procured are NSN 4240-01-504-7863 – Goggles (Cover Style) and NSN 4240-01-504-7863F – Goggles (Cover Style). Items must be Uvex Stealth Goggles P/N S3960C, or equal, with the following characteristics: 1) Cover style goggles shall meet the requirements of ANSI Z87.1 for high impact 2) Low profile design for use with hard hat 3) Clear replaceable lens shall be scratch resistant with anti-fog coating and shall filter out 99% of UV rays 4) Frame shall be grey polypropylene with elastomer seal, indirect ventilation system, and adjustable neoprene headband. Delivery of these items will be to the GSA Depots located in Burlington, NJ (N3) and French Camp, CA (S1). The contract type will be a requirements contract, firm fixed price for the base contract period. An Economic Price Adjustment clause will be applicable to the option periods. The solicitation will be issued approximately 6/15/08 or sooner and will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website – http://www.fbo.gov. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package at the time of issuance. FedBizOpps provides all downloading instructions regarding how to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information regarding this procurement, including solicitation amendments, if applicable, will be posted soley through the referenced website. Currently a market survey is being uploaded to the FedBizOpps website and you are encouraged to complete and submit back. The survey contains item purchase descriptions for the items to be procured and comments received will be valuable in the preparation of the upcoming solicitation. Please note, this is a Market Survey to be used in preparation of the upcoming solicitation – this is not a request for proposal. All responsible sources (inclusive of 8(a) contractors, Hubzone, Veterans, Service Disabled Veterans and small businesses) are encouraged to respond to the market survey and may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
