- Description
- Notice of Intent to award Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for F108 Engine 3D Training Software from Point One LLC, 1215 S. Clark St. Ste 1102, Arlington, VA 22202. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541511. This contract is for the continued development of the F108 3D engine training program and software maintenance contract, to provide a program for Engine Run, Borescope and Integrated Drive Gearbox maintenance, to include trouble-shooting, upgrades, and site visits, if required, for the engine training program used by the Maintenance Training Flight at Offutt AFB. The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(iii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because the F108 Engine 3D Training Software developed to date was written and is maintained solely by Point One LLC. The proprietary rights belong to Point One which precludes other contractors from getting access to full technical data, specifications, or engineering descriptions.
