- Description
- Proposed sole source modification to add Information Assurance (IA) training and certifications and to increase IA support provided under Contract #N00033-06-D-6504 with Systems Research Applications Corporation (SRA), Fairfax, VA. This requirement has been determined to be sole source in order to ensure continuity of operations for the mission critical services provided under this contract. These services shall be required for the duration of the contract which, if all option and award term periods are exercised, could extend through February 2012 (not including FAR 52.217-8). Should it be determined at the end of performance under this contract that a requirement still exists for the provision of these services, it shall be the intent of the Government to conduct a full and open competitive procurement. Increased level of effort is required to conduct and obtain the Information Assurance (IA) training and certifications required by DoD Directive 8570.1, "Information Assurance Training, Certification, and Workforce Management," which is implemented through DoD Directive 8570.1-M, “Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program.” Increased level of effort is also required under Task 2.0, "Afloat Network Operations Center (ANOC)," Task 3.0, "Back-Up Afloat Network Operations Center (BNOC)," Task 4.0, "Afloat Operations Support," and Task 6.0, "C4S Alteration and Upgrade Support" to provide increased IA support that includes the following: additional process support for Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM), additional IA trouble call support in CONUS and forward deployed areas, additional support for IA patching for PC to PC Transfer System (PPTS) ships, additional effort for Global Operating System Upgrade Project (GOSUP), additional patch testing support, and additional levels of effort for the Afloat Operations Network Center (ANOC) and the Mobile Sealift Operations Centers (MSOC) to ensure accelerated deployment of IA-related applications.
