Description

The 354th Contracting Squadron, Eielson AFB, Alaska intends to award a SOLE SOURCE contract to Alaska Communications Systems (ACS), 600 Telephone Ave, MS 16, Anchorage, AK 99503 for relocation of overhead telephone lines to underground at Eielson AFB, Alaska. The telephone lines in question are within the airfield obstruction zone and must be removed for flight safety. The telephone lines belong to ACS, therefore, in accordance with their company policies they are the only parties authorized to alter them. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. A determination not to compete lies solely with the discretion of the Government. Authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice constitutes the only notice. The reference number is FA5004-08-R-C010. NAICS CODE 237130.
