Set-aside code: 100% Set-Aside Small Business 6. Response date: 19 May 2008 7. Place of performance: US Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah 8. Description: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, Wilmington Contracting Office is soliciting offers under Request for Quotation (RFQ) No. W912HN-08-T-0037 to haul, clean, and paint the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Survey Vessel GILLETTE. The contractor will be required to provide all plant, labor, materials, and equipment to perform the above services, including but not limited to, rudders, struts, bits, cleats, handrails, deck awning, masts, and transom guard and in accordance with the scope of work provided in the solicitation. The GILLETTE is a 65 foot aluminum vessel. The Government will deliver the vessel to the contractors facility. The area of consideration is limited to facilities in North Carolina. Due to survey scheduling, the vessel will not be available until approximately 1 June 2008 and all work shall be completed six weeks after award. This action will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and awarded under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. RFQ No. W912HN-08-T-0037 will be available on or about 8 April 2008. Solicitation documents and specifications will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDs) system webpage at https://www.fedteds.gov. Interested parties must register as a Vendor with FedTeDs before accessing the system. In order to register as a Vendor in FedTeDs, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system (http://www.ccr.gov). Interested offerors can access the data for this solicitation through the hyperlink established in the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) system (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) announcement, which will redirect to the solicitation-specific data in FedTeDs. Registration for updates to specifications should be made on the FedBizOpps webpage for this solicitation. The FedTeDssystem does not allow for offerors to perform a search for solicitation data. All searches can be performed through the FedBizOpps system. Offers will be due on 19 May 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time and shall be mailed or hand-carried to 69 Darlington Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28403, ATTN: Denese J Kushinsky prior to the date and time specified in the solicitation. Offerors are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation. Hard copies will not be available. This procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside.
