- NSN: 1005-01-433-1617, P/N 12976948, The item to procure is a M122A1 Machine Gun Tripod Mount F/M240B, 7.62MM, Machine Gun. Consist of numerous close tolerance machined parts from various steels and steel forgings for the Sub Assemblies Tripod Assembly, Traverse & Elevating Mechanism and Pintle Assembly. This part has a Phosphate Base and Painted Finish per drawing specifications. THIS IS NOT A FORMAL SOLICITATION. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR ESTIMATED RELEASE DATE OF OFFICIAL SOLICITATION. Requirements are for a Firm Fixed Price, 5-year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract, with a Guaranteed Minimum Quantity of 1,000 Each and a Maximum Contract Quantity of 50,000 Each Gas Cylinder Assembly. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is May 7, 2008. There is a Heavy Phosphate Requirement MIL-DTL-16232 (finish series 5.3 of MIL-STD-171). Demilitarization is required. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
