VA-246-08-RQ-0134 Questions 1)Under the Schedule of Supplies / Services, Item 1: a.How many cards are there in each system, per type - per system, including port count per card? 20 PIM A Cards and 6 LCM Cards - 9 MGs b.What is the CPU model number and software revision for the UMG? Software is F6.21 c.Is the UMG configured with redundancy, and at what level (D0, D1, D2, D3)? Yes, D0 and D1 d.How many voicemail ports are to be maintained? 44 ports 4 A/D e.What is the software revision level for the voicemail? (i.e. Repartee 7.60) Version 7.47 f.What is the software revision of the voicemail server's operating system (i.e. MS 2003 Server)? OS2 g.What is the UMG power system's manufacturer and the model number(s) of all components? LaMarche A31-4K-48V-A6 h.What is the battery system's manufacturer, model number, and date of purchase? ADS and the system is approx. 15yrs old i.When was the last time the UMG battery system was functionally tested and can we have the results of that test? The batteries were tested 3/08 and we were informed they needed to be replaced. We are waiting for the new batteries to be installed within the next 2 weeks. j.Are there any UPS, and (if applicable) what are the manufacturer(s), model number(s), and date(s) of purchase. We are using ASTRA l.What features/licenses are provided with the TMS system (i.e. cable management, asset management, etc.) and are they fully operational? N/A m.For features that are not fully operational, what responsibilities would we have for maintaining them? None n.What is the alarm system (MFR & Model Number) and is if fully operational? No alarm system o.Is there a maintenance terminal, and (if applicable) what is the MFR, model number, and PC operating system? Yes, DOS p.Are there any PC based attendant consoles, and (if applicable) what is the MFR, model number, and PC operating system? No q.Does the structured cabling currently meet IEEE and BICSI standards and is it fully documented? No but will be under the new contract r.If the structured cabling system does not currently meet IEEE and BICSI standards or isn't fully documented, will it be repaired and/or cleaned up prior to contract award? None s.If the structured cabling system is not up to industry standards or isn't fully documented, do we assume that we will not be responsible for repairing and/or cleaning it up under the terms of this contract? If cables need repair under new contract, yes, cleaning up, no. t.Is all software current and/or supported by the manufacturer, and if not, which software is end of life or end of support? Software is end of life and support on the switch. u.For those units/devices with software that is no longer supported by the manufacturer, will the VA pay any recurring charges invoiced by the manufacturer if direct manufacturer assistance is required to fix a problem? No, it is up to the contractor to maintain NEC support on the switch through the maintenance agreement. v.For any other ancillary equipment not addressed above, please identify what other equipment is to be maintained (including quantities, manufacturer and model number)? N/A w.What type of telephone stations are being used? Analog/Digital 2)Under the Schedule of Supplies / Services, Item 2: a.What does the non-recurring telephone expenditures represent in terms of the per month number of moves, number of adds, number of changes, number of cable pulls, number of jacks, number of phones, or quantities of any other hardware item? Ranges from 5 - 40 each per month - just depending on the month b.Or, is this just a number that will be used like a BPA? See above. c.Or, is this a non-binding estimate? Estimate 3)What is the current cost for obtaining a background investigation? Please check with your local police - contractor is responsible for making sure their employees have a background check. 4)Based on these questions we cannot provide a comprehensive response to this solicitation and we respectfully request a extension to the deadline so we can use the answers and provide VA with a proper response. We really need someone as soon as possible and can not prolong this process due to the emergency of this contract. 5)Please provide the Bay Face layouts of all pbx. See Attachment 6)Please provide copy of the software installed. - This is a violation of security at the VAMC 7)Please advise if a site visit is allowed. No, due to the urgency.
