- NOTICE OF INTENT TO PURCHASE OF BRAND NAME SOFTWARE. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. The following notice is being posted IAW Office of Federal Procurement Policy memo dtd 11 Apr 05 and 17 Apr 06- Publication of Brand Name Justifications. Contracting Office: Department of the Air Force, Air Force Material Command, 643rd Electronic Systems Group (ELSG), 201 East Moore Dr., Room 102, MAFB-Gunter Annex AL 36114-3000 Notice: The 554 ELSW/OL-AC provides standard configuration environments to mimic the operational target environments of developing Automated Information Systems (AIS) during the development and test phases of acquisition. The 554 ELSW/OL-AC currently uses the HP/Mercury suite of testing tools. Justification: See attached Justification and Approval (J&A). The government's intent is to procure the items listed in the J&A through ESI Contract. However, all responses received within 5 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be co! nsidered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to exploit an alternate brand based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
