- The International Boundary and Water Commission, United States Section, requires the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment for improvement of the Hart's Mill Wasteways. Work is required for prevention of flood water from washing into the adjacent canal. The project is located adjacent to the Rio Grande on U.S. Government property. Work for Hart's Mill Wasteway will include but is not limited to: Install two new retaining walls; Install additional wall height to two existing retaining walls; Place a new concrete bridge deck on an existing concrete deck; Install additional levee embankment and levee surfacing from material supplied by the government; Install two stop logs onto two existing curtain walls; Demolish two concrete erosion protection slabs, add fill material, and then reinstall the erosion protection; and Furnish and install guardrails. The installation of stop logs at Hart's Mill Wasteway shall be completed during the non-irrigation season when the channel is dry, which is traditionally mid October to mid February of any year. Tentative dates for issuing and closing the solicitation are April 16, 2008 and May 16, 2008 respectively. The Contract performance period is 120 calendar days from the issuance of the notice to proceed. The estimated price range for construction of the Hart's Mill Wasteway is between $100,000 and $250,000. Request for solicitation, drawings, and specifications must be submitted in writing to the International Boundary and Water Commission, U.S. Section, ATTN. All requests for a copy of the solicitation, drawings, and specifications package will be provided at no charge, and request should include physical mailing address, email address, facsimile number, point of contact, and telephone number. Pre bid conference will be scheduled and attendance is highly recommended. All responsible Small Business sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by this agency.
