- This contract consists of conducting statistically sound vegetation sampling by intensification of the Forest Inventory and Analysis (FIA) grid plots. It includes locating, monumenting and photographing the primary sampling units (PSUs) then collecting the tree, vegetation composition ground surface cover and downed woody material data according to standard Region 1 protocols for grid intensification (Region 1 Common Stand Exam Protocols and Field Procedures). This project is located on the Helena and Lincoln Ranger Districts. Solicitation issuance date will be on or about April 8, 2008. Solicitation will be posted electronically.
