Description
Cincinnati VA Medical Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Philips Medical Systems to purchase the services and supplies of the following items: 16 each of organizer for 4 lead shielded lead wires; 1 day clinical configuration and implementation services; 5 day clinical configuration and implementation services; 1 day overtime of clinical configuration and implementation services; 5 days overtime clinical configuration & implementation services and the installation site services & facilities implementation solutions. Philips Medical Systems has propriety on working on their own Intellivue MP70 patient monitoring system.The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 334510, the Small Business Standard is 500 employees, and the Government believes that Philips Medical Systems is the only manufacture that can satisfy the agency requirements. Therefore, the Government intends to proceed with a sole source procurement for the required supplies and or services. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302 - only one responsible source and no other vendor will satisfy agency requirements. To the best of our knowledge, Philips Medical Systems is the only source that provides the above indicated items and features. This is a notice of intent to sole source and is not a request for competitive quotes. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within ten (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Telephone and facsimile requests/inquiries will not be accepted. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer at Tim.Perkins@va.gov. If electronic format is not available, then please send to Contracting Officer Timothy J. Perkins, Cincinnati VAMC, Building 3, 3200 Vine Street, Cincinnati, OH, 45220. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Cincinnati VA Medical Center will precede with the sole source negotiation with Philips Medical Systems, Inc., Andover, MA. The due date on quotes are due no later than April 24, 2008 at 2PM EST.
