- Description
- Contractor shall provide materials, tools, labor and supervisionto perform modifications to the existing domestic water systems asdescribed with the construction drawings and specifications. The workwill be performed at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center located inFayetteville, North Carolina. Work will include the following items:Remove existing pressure reducing and back flow prevention stations fromunderground vaults; provide and install new above ground pressurereducing and back flow prevention stations in new above groundenclosures; provide new electrical service to above ground enclosures;excavate locations of pipe to install new valves; remove existingunderground vaults; and site restoration upon completion of work. Allwork shall be performed in accordance with the drawings andspecifications, as well as OHSA and EPA requirements. Work shall becompleted within 120 days of the Notice to Proceed being issued. TheNAICS code is 237119 with a small business size standard of $31 M.This procurement is 100% service disabled veteran owned small businessset-aside. The cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Thesolicitation will be available for download at the BusinessOpportunities System website on or about April 22, 2008. Bidders areresponsible for downloading any and all documents pertaining to thissolicitation from the website. Paper solicitations will not be issued.Request for drawings must be in writing to the Contracting Officer. Faxrequests for drawings will be accepted at (910) 482-5226.Electronic/Fax bids are not acceptable.
