- Sole Source Synopsis for NCIS Search Kits The Fleet Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to acquire 8 additional Zistos “Search Kits”, 18 audio modules, and 18 color video scopes for Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). These commercial items will be solicited in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 13.5 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The proposed firm fixed price contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. The proposed sole source sole source distributor is L.N. Curtis and Sons. These items must be obtained from a single source provider, in order to assure that various components are interchangeable with each other. Each kit must be self-contained, easily transportable, and usable by a single person. The NAICS code is 423410 and the small business size standard is 100 employees. The anticipated delivery date is 30 days after the award of the purchase order!. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However all information received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be normally considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this notice.
