The purposeof this notice is to conduct market research to determine if FederalPrison Industries (FPI) is comparable to industry in terms of price, delivery, and quality. Any firm interested insubmitting information in response to this notice should do thefollowing: STEP 1 WEB ACCESS: First, go to the Market Researchsection of the Rock Island Solicitation Information Page, athttps://aais.ria.army.mil/AAIS/Solinfo/MARKET_SURVEYS/market.htm STEP 2 REQUEST THE TDP: The Technical Data Package (TDP) forthe Cable Assembly, Prin is available for downloading utilizing FedTeDS.To obtain the TDP click the following link:https://www.fedteds.gov/fedteds/start.nsf/frm.VendorLogin?OpenForm&SolicitationNumber=5995014584369 If you do not have access to FedTeDSplease click the following link to get registered. https://www.fedteds.gov/ STEP 3 - REVIEW THE TDP PACKAGE: As this is a complicated item, and many technicalrequirements are cited within, or referenced within the TDP, IT ISMANDATORY that any interested party make a thorough review of theTDP. STEP 4 COMPLETE AND SUBMIT THE MARKET RESEARCH QUESTIONNAIRE: If after a thorough review and understanding ofall the requirements of the TDP you are still interested in supplyingthis item to the US Army, then go back to the Rock Island SolicitationInformation Page (Step 1 above), and access the link to the Market Research Questionnaire. Please provide answersto all questions, including your best price and delivery schedule, andreturn it as instructed at the top of the Questionnaire. STEP 5 Government Review and Determination: The Contracting Officer will review the responses received to the MarketResearch Questionnaire and make a determination if FPI can supply thisitem at comparable terms to private industry, considering price,delivery, and quality. If it is determined thatFPI can supply the item under comparable terms, than the resultantprocurement action will be set aside for FPI. If it is determined thatFPI cannot supply the item under comparable terms to private industry,then the procurement action will be pursued under competitive procedures.
