- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) is seeking sources that can provide security guard services at Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML in Hamilton, MT. Contractor must be capable of providing approximately 68 unarmed and armed security guards 24 hours a day, seven days a week at the RML site. The guard force shall provide operation and monitoring of the RML complex based on standard operating procedures approved by the Government, as well as monitoring of equipment and systems such as but not limited to security/fire alarm monitoring systems, X-ray machines, magnetometers, chemical sniffers, video equipment, security barriers, and security wands. All contract employees must be licensed by the state of Montana to act as security guard contractors within the state. Potential offerors must provide proof that employees hold these licenses or are capable of obtaining these licenses. The successful contractor must also provide a 4X4 motorized vehicle to respond to any remote area of the campus during emergencies or for any other security monitoring needs. Capability statements must describing the ability to meet the above requirements and provide references to similar work that has been performed by the offeror and the dollar value of that work. All small businesses including small disadvantaged business, HUBZone small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business and women-owned small business concerns should respond with a capability statement by April 16, 2008, 11:00 am EDT. Teaming arrangements are encouraged. (No large businesses should respond to this announcement.)
