- This amendment to the solicitation is to extend the response date to 4 Apr 2008. All interested parties must submit quotes by 1630 CST. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This constitutes the only notification before award. Solicitation reference #F1XTD28084A001 is issued as a request for quote, utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR Part 13. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-24. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 326299. Small business size standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is 100% small business set-aside. The Description of Items and clauses incorporated in this synopsis/solicitation are applicable to this procurement and will be incorporated into any resultant purchase order. QUANTITY: 60 each. DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS: 1) modified 210 Denier LRU-16/P one-man life rafts. Patten P/N #901005 BRAND NAME OR EQUAL, Color: Yellow, Blue, and Orange. 2) Life raft assembly consists of an inflation assembly (carbon dioxide and inflation valve), 6 foot long sea anchor, storage pockets for emergency beacons and light, ballast bags/water pockets, a spray/weather shield, and an inflatable floor. 3) The main tube is constructed using 210 denier yellow, main tube takes a fluted oral tube with sleeve. No brass clamp on the main oral inflation tube. 4) The floor will be sea blue with oral inflation valve. 5) The spray/weather shield will be 70 Denier orange on the inside and sea blue on the outside with oral inflation valve. 6) Special markings: stencil the words FOR SERE TRAINING USE ONLY; leave off the NSN. 7) Add two additional crimp rings at the floor tube connection area and cover it with clear shrink wrap. 8) An image of the unmodified LRU-16/P can be viewed at http://www.tpub.com/content/clothingandindividualequipment/TM-55-1680-350-10/css/TM-55-1680-350-10_17.htm. Delivery is required no later than 90 days from date of contract award. DELIVERY ADDRESS: Detachment 2, 66th TRS, 55 Radford Blvd, Suite C, Pensacola, FL 32508-5255. Interested parties must include, with their quote, their CAGE code, tax identification number (TIN), and delivery date. Note: Interested parties submitting quotes must also include descriptive literature that will demonstrate functional and product equivalency to the aforementioned items. Anticipated award date is shortly after receipt of quotes. Award will be made to the responsible quoter offering the lowest overall price meeting the requirements of this combined synopsis/solicitation.
