- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The VA National Acquisition Center will issue Request for Proposal (RFP) VA-797-08-RP-0054 for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to procure Finasteride Tablets. The estimated annual usage is as follows: 548,452 bottles of 5mg Tablets in 30s and 631,116 bottles of 5mg Tablets in 90s. Award will be made (all or none) based on the lowest total evaluated price of both line items offered, taking into consideration the estimated quantities. The estimated annual usage listed above is for VA, Department of Defense (DOD), Indian Health Service (IHS) and Bureau of Prisons (BOP). The contract period will be for one year plus four one-year option periods. The contract items will be distributed through the VA and DOD Pharmaceutical Prime Vendors. Offeror's must state the exact name (name that appears on label) by which the drug will be supplied and have a unique NDC number. Tablets must be compatible with automated dispensing units (Baxter ATC Canisters, Optifil, etc.). All bottles of 100 tablets or less must have a child resistant closure. If the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with the offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. Solicitation No VA-797-08-RP-0054 will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about May 15, 2008, with a closing date of June 12, 2008. The NAICS code for this procurement is 325412. Any future amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be available electronically for download at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be available, and no telephone requests for paper copies of the solicitation will be accepted.
