Description: This request for proposal (RFP) is a Best Value solicitation, full and open competition contract for construction. This project provides for repair of a steel cellular cofferdam by jet grouting by injecting portland cement to create a 800 psi soil cement 2 foot wide ring on the interior of the large cofferdam cell and fill the interior of a small cofferdam cell. The jet grouting shall extend from 2 feet below the ground surface to a depth of 60 feet. Option 1 will include grouting the entire interior of the larger cofferdam cell and the smaller cofferdam cell. The magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. The RFP solicitation is anticipated to be issued on or about 17 April 2008, and offers will be due on or about 19 May 2008. No public bid opening procedures are applicable to this solicitation. A firm fixed price UNRESTRICTED contract is anticipated to be awarded using Best Value evaluation criteria. Anticipated award date is 16 June 2008. Anticipated project completion date is 30 September 2008. The 2002 North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this project is 238110. The Small Business Size Standard is $13 Million.
