- Description
- The principal components of the work consist of: 1) unwatering the drop structure and controlling water during construction (2) saw cutting and removing existing concrete, (3) furnishing and placing concrete (including installing reinforcement), and (4) associated earthwork that may be required to complete the work described. Onsite construction shall be between September 15, 2008 and December 31, 2008. Due to the narrow construction window for this work, it is recommended that the Contractor be mobilized to the site by September 15, 2008. The St. Mary Canal will be dewatered by the Bureau of Reclamation prior to the start of construction. The estimated price range of the work is between $100,000 and $250,000. Solicitation packages are estimated to be available on April 15, 2008. Requests should be received on or before April 9, 2008. The bid opening is tentatively scheduled for May 15, 2008 and will be held at the James F. Battin Building, Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, 316 North 26th Street, Room 2035, Billings, Montana. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional copies will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitations may be viewed without charge, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, Room 2035, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana. Prospective offerors desiring to visit the site may make arrangements by contacting Mr. Roy Steiner at 406-247-7749. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The NAICS Code is 238190. The Small Business Size Standard is $13 million. The specifications and drawings will not be posted to the internet; however, a complete solicitation package is available in hard copy. To request a hard copy of the solicitation, Contractor's must fax a request to 406-247-7798, Attn: Hart Black Eagle. The requestor must include the Contractor's name, address, phone/fax number, Federal Tax Identification and Dun and Bradstreet Number. NOTE: Effective October 1, 2003, any contractor interested in doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). This registration process can be obtained via the CCR website at hppt://www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423.
