- This requirement is for the procurement of Clutch Assembly, Fri, NSN: 3010-01-259-0587RN, P/N: 52-D-7547-101, which is a multi-disk clutch that is actuated by fluid pressure and is the mechanical energy-transfer means used on the BAK-12 and Mobile Aircraft Arresting System (MAAS) to return or rewind the nylon purchase tape onto the BAK-12/MAAS storage reel after an engagement.Material: Various First Article Qty: 1 EA; Production Qty: 29 EA; Option I Qty: 1-60 EA; Option II Qty: 1-60 EA; Option III Qty: 1-60 EA; Option IV Qty: 1-60 EA. One each First Article (FA) will be required from any source that has not provided the exact item to the United States Air Force during the last 60 months. Delivery schedule: 180 Days ARO. Multiple shipping locations are involved. The approximate issue date of solicitation is 6 December 2007 with approximate response date of 7 January 2008. Technical data (manufacturing drawing package) is available for this acquisition and may be obtained from http://www.fedteds.gov. Offerors are strongly encouraged to review their data for accuracy as soon as possible. The extent of foreign participation has not yet been determined. MOU country sources must contact the Contracting Officer within 15 calendar days of the date of this synopsis notice to receive a copy of the solicitation at the time it is initially issued. Issuance of the solicitation will not be delayed to review requests from MOU country sources received after 15 days or from non-MOU country sources. Nothing in this notice contradicts other restrictions, identified in the synopsis notice or solicitation, regarding eligible sources (e.g., if this is a small-business set-aside, foreign sources may not participate as potential prime contractors but could, if otherwise eligible, participate as subcontractors). All questions regarding the solicitation and/or the data package must be submitted in writing to Alicia.Vogel@robins.af.mil with a copy to Kathy.Canady@robins.af.mil. No telephonic questions. All questions and answers will be uploaded to http://www.fedbizopps.gov ; however, the identity of the potential offeror will not be included. Offerors are encouraged to register to receive notification for solicitation and all amendments/revisions and to check the FEDBIZOPPS site prior to submission of quote. Offers will be evaluated based on price and past performance. The Performance Information Retrieval System-Statistical Reporting (PPIRS-SR) program will be utilized in the evaluation of past performance. Evaluation may also include input from the cognizant DCMA Administrative Contracting Officer/Industrial Specialist and/or through conduct of a Pre-Award Survey. See Numbered Note 8.
