- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 5 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR LIQUID NITROGEN CRYOGENIC COOLING SHROUD. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to answer a question that asked before the end date for questions. Question: Reference: NASA Statement of Work Revision A, 18 March, 2008, page 7 of 16, 5th paragraph from top of page, which states; "Manually operated slide-type actively cooled windows must cover three of the 30? ports on one side of the chamber. These are needed as pass throughs for wiring supporting instrumentation routed through flange covers. They should be modular to support configuration changes from test to test. " Please provide clarification, must windows be actively cooled? Or, will conductive cooling be sufficient. Answer: Either method of cooling as long as temperature requirements are met. The due date for receipt of offers is not extended. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on February 29, 2008. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet. These documents reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
