- This is notification the solicitation for the Environmental Cap has been amended and extended with a new response date of 10 April 08. A firm fixed-price 5-year requirements contract for the following item in support of the Improved Chemical Agent De tector (ICAM): for the Protective Dust Cap; NSN: 6665-01-382-3203; Part Number: 442-492. Protective Dust Cap consists of Environmental Cap, Seal, Compression Ring, Retaining Strap, and Spring Pin. The Cap is machined from aluminum alloy, A96061, Temper T-6 , IS 1.734 IN O.D. X 1078 in high; seals are synthetic molded rubber, Class 2, Type A, Grade 80, Color Black and retaining strap is molded from Virgin Zytel and 0.029-.100 in O.D. Military packaging required. FOB Destination. First Article Test is require d. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under not obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders' mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time se t for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
