Description

Approval for an exception to full and open competition is being announced for execution of the final option year to Log Sec Group, LLC. Option Year (OY) 3 will expire on March 31, 2008 and all new delivery orders contemplated have been identified as being within the scope of the next option year. The current projected amount for OY 4 is $27.5M. J&A is required to exceed the total and OY 4 award amounts. The continuing contract type is Firm Fixed Price and Time & Material. FY08 Operations & Ma intenance (O&M) funds are cited for use with this proposed action. All current and future requirements remain within the original scope of work for this award. W91ZLK-04-D-0007 was awarded with an effective date of April 1, 2004 to support Info rmation Technology (IT) services to five main customers. The acquisition plan submitted and approved by ACA NRHQ in February 2004 included an estimated cost of $116M over a seven year period. The actual award period was reduced to five years (Base + Four Option Years). The total estimated cost of the five year period became approximately $63M. As the work progressed, additional support activities were added. Unforeseen requirements emerged that necessitated the use of this award for critical mission op erations. This multi-activity contract utilizes two different contract types: Firm Fixed Price effort and Time and Materials effort. Upon initial award the Directorate of Information Management (DOIM) portion of this contract was performance based and the other four customers (RDECOM, CHPPM, AEC and 20th Support) were non-performance based. After the base year, CHPPM became performance based. The current five customers (2 performance and 3 non-performance based) covered under this award are requesting the ability to use the fourth and final year of the award.
