Description
The VA Western New York Healthcare System (VAWNYHCS) campus at Buffalo, New York, intends to solicit for and award a firm fixed-price contract to a qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) for Preferred Pricing Audits for VISN 2, VA Healthcare Network Upstate New York. THIS IS A 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS in accordance with the Veterans First Contracting Program (PL 109-461). No other offers that are not SDVOSB will be considered. This is to include Medical Centers located in Albany, Syracuse, Canandaigua, Bath and Buffalo New York. This is a commercial item acquisition conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12. NAICS code 524298, size standard 6.5 million. The purpose of the contract is to assist the VA in meeting its economic objective to obtain high quality, accessible health care services at reasonable prices to serve the nation???s veterans. When eligible veterans receive their healthcare from providers in the private sector, the contract allows participating VAMCs to share in the savings available through discount agreements. The contractor identifies savings for a variety of health care services including hospitalization, outpatient care, ambulatory surgery, behavioral health, ancillary and other services. The contractor will perform preferred pricing services. This includes making health care provider discounts available to the VA and providing the preferred pricing information to the VA. The contract period will consist of one (1) base year period plus 1 (one) option year. The contractor is responsible for downloading all amendments and other documents from the FBO website www.fbo.gov, without further notices from the Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Western New York Healthcare System. Interested firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration System (CCR) at www.ccr.gov. All questions must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer via e-mail to jonathan.aikin@va.gov, or fax your written request to (716) 862-8893 attention Jonathan Aikin. Solicitation issue date will be on or about 27 March 2008, with offers tentatively due 29 days thereafter. Proposals shall be submitted by April 24, 2008 at 3:00 pm (EST) either by mail or handcarried to 3495 Bailey Ave., Buffalo, New York or e-mail to jonathan.aikin@va.gov. Fax proposals will not be accepted. All necessary solicitation documents will be available on/after March 27, 2008 on the FedBizOpps system, including any amendments.
