- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Richmond, Virginia intends to solicit for a 90-day commercial item procurement to cover routine maintenance of a NEC NEAX 2400 Telephone Switch, and to cover moves, adds , changes as well as cable pulls throughout the hospitals for the VA Medical Center Richmond as well as Fredericksburg and Charlottesville CBOCs. Two technicians ??? a primary and a backup, will be required for this contract. Contract award date will be April 16, 2008, with contractors able to begin service on April 21, 2008 or sooner. Technicians shall be trained on the NEC NEAX 2400 IMG and certified on the Superior Modular Products Structured Connectivity Solutions Cabling. Technicians shall have knowledge of ASTRA and the Repartee Voice Mail System. This is a proposed contract action for services for which the government intends to solicit as a 100% Veteran-owned Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code is 238210, $13.0M. The procurement will be conducted utilizing the commercial item procedures of FAR 12 in conjunction with FAR 15. Solicitation documents may be obtained electronically at: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Award will be made to the offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the best value to the Government, price and other factors considered. The Government intends to evaluate offers and award without discussions. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions later if determined necessary by the Contracting Officer. Solicitation number shall be listed on the outside of responses for identification purposes.
