Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for unit exchange and/or repair services of various items such as circuit card assemblies, RF distribution units, RF combining units, power supply assemblies and cable assemblies, not inclusive, applicable to the Instrument Landing System Model 2100 in support of the National Airspace System (NAS.) ILS equipment is used to provide distance information to aircraft from a known ground location. Requirements include option provisions to renew for four additional 1-year periods. The proposed contract will incorporate AMS Clause 3.2.4-34, Option to Extend Services and AMS Clause 3.2.4-35, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract. These repair services are only known to be available from Selex Sistemi Integrati, Overland Park, KS, because they hold the data rights and repair specifications for these items that were originally designed and manufactured by Alenia Marconi Systems. The Government does not have the technical documentation available to allow other sources to repair these items. To receive consideration as a potential repair source, any other concern must provide in writing a complete set of system specification drawings, all required standards and testing specifications, test plans, part lists, and proof of rights to use the data. Statements that data will be obtained or that specifications or drawings will be developed are not acceptable. Documentation must be received by the FAA, NAS Contracting Team (AMQ-210), 6500 S. MacArthur Boulevard, P.O. Box 25082, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73125, no later than 2:00 p.m. CST, April 7, 2008. Hand-carried submittals (or submittals sent by overnight delivery) shall be delivered to Room 313 of the Multi-Purpose Building located at 6500 South MacArthur Boulevard, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73169. Submittals must be sealed and labeled as follows: Connie Houpt, Market Survey No. DTFAAC-08-R-53666; due 2:00 p.m. CST, April 7, 2008. Documentation must include name and telephone number of a point of contact. Only those responses providing the required documentation in response to this market survey will be considered prior to further acquisition action by the Government. Any information received as a result of this announcement will not be provided to other contractors and will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based on any information provided, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
