Description
THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (SSN) SUPERCEDES SSN IDNETIFIED UNDER NO. HSHQDC-07-R-00115. The Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center (MWEOC) located in Mt. Weather, Virginia is seeking the interest of small business concerns for the construction of a Power Generator Building & Generators. All interested firms should provide the following: (1) Contact information, (2) DUNS Number., (3) Size status for NAICs Code 237130, Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction, (4) Brief listing of similar projects to include scope, value, client, and calendar year completed. There is a two (2) page limitation on the total project listings. The estimated magnitude of construction is more than $10,000,000. The small business concern must be able to perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. PLEASE EMAIL YOUR RESPONSES TO MT.WEATHER.CONSTRUCT@HQ.DHS.GOV by 3:00 PM EST, THURSDAY, APRIL 10, 2007. Description of the proposed work is: Furnish and install new generator building and site distribution. Work includes but is not limited to building construction, sitework, site and building electrical installation, HVAC, plumbing, fuel distribution and Fire Protection. Furnish, deliver and install four (4) generators and equipment necessary to facilitate a fully operational system. The Part I Work consists of installing a new primary electrical site distribution system based on a three source primary loop. The Work shall consist of connections and coordination with two new utility substations to be located on site. All ductbanks, manholes, handholes and new overhead lines with utility poles required for the new distribution system are included. Cable, reclosers, cutouts, switches, breakers and fuses are also included. All existing switching stations are to be replaced with new switching stations. Sectionalizing cabinets are required at all switching stations. Site work will include the demolition and removal of existing structures and pavements and replacement of pavements where trenching for the duct work will be required. There are temporary removal and relocation requirements of existing utilities that are in conflict with the new work such as with fire hydrants, light poles, etc. Also, included are environmental protection measures and restoration of grass areas.
