Description
1. The proposed work will structurally prune and shape palm trees fronds along Las Lomas Dr. near single family housing complex to promote proper health and growth and to eliminate safety concerns. Currently, palm trees have been allowed to grow over roofs, power and phone lines, into backyards and over sidewalks and streets, creating an unsafe and hazardous condition for the residents of military housing and their personal property. Work is needed to prevent possible damage to government or personal property, or worse, personal injury. In addition, the fronds are dying, creating additional problems and concerns since the loose fronds may not withstand any type of high winds or storms. 2. The contractor shall repair any damage to the surrounding area caused by the removal operation. Surrounding area includes but not limited to: house structure, lawn, sidewalks, paved areas, utilities and/or telephone lines, and resident's property. 3. Contractor shall prune/trim a total of sixty-four palm trees. 4. Contractor shall perform prunning/trimming as per industry standard to maintain the health and proper growth of the tree. 5. Contractor shall not pull or rip off fronds. Permanent wounds to the trunk can occur allowing for fungus or rot invasion and produces everenlarging holes in the trunk. 6. Upon completion of job, contractor shall clean working area completely of all debris leftover from tree trimming. 7. Contractor shall haul and dispose of all debris generated. COAST GUARD FURNISHED INFORMATION None COAST GUARD FURNISHED MATERIAL None COAST GUARD FURNISHED EQUIPMENT None TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS All costs associated with travel to complete this task are included within the contractor's proposal.
