- Description
- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for on-site service maintenance agreement for the field emission scanning electron microscope system for a period of one year starting from 04/24/2008. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase this service from Carl Zeiss SMT Inc. The results from the market research identified Carl Zeiss SMT Inc. as the only company that provides above service. The authority is FAR 13.106(b)(1) only one source reasonably available. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. DO Rating is DO-C9. This synopsis shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing via e-mail to Nadja Hardy at nadja.hardy@nasa.gov not later than 3:00 PM ET on April 10, 2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon reponses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". All contractual and technical questions must be submitted in writing via e-mail to Nadja Hardy (nadja.hardy@nasa.gov) no later than April 07, 2008.
