Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New York District intends to issue a solicitation for the award of a firm-fixed contract for an Repair on a Lorain MCH 350D Crane Telescoping Hydraulic Boom at the Albany Field Office, Troy, NY. The contract consists of performing all work associated with furnishing and installing two new extension cylinders, complete, in the USACEs Lorain MCH 350D cranes main hydraulic boom assembly. The work also includes replacing the proportionator and roller that holds the cyl inders inside the boom, replacing a damaged hydraulic hose and four clamps inside the boom, replacing the wear pads, and inspecting and replacing, if necessary, the holding valve for the cylinders. The hydraulic system shall also be drained and all filters changed and the hydraulic system shall be refilled with new hydraulic oil. The work shall include the complete reassembly and reinstallation of the boom, replacing all wear items and all seals included in the manufacturers boom cylinder seal kit. The w ork shall also include performance testing the reassembled boom upon completion. The estimated cost is between $50,000,00 and $60,000,00. Required Completion Date: Complete all repairs no later than 180 days following award. Delivery of Crane to Repair F acility: The Crane will be transported by the USACE and delivered to the Contractors shop located within a fifty mile radius of the USACE Albany Field Office, 1 Bond Street, Troy, N.Y.12180. Note that the boom has been removed and disassembled for inspec tion and evaluation. Contractors submitting proposals to perform the work outside the fifty mile radius shall include in their proposal the cost for transporting the equipment from the USACE Albany Field Office, 1 Bond Street, Troy, N.Y.12180 to their fac ility at the start of work and the cost to return the equipment to the USACE Albany Field Office, 1 Bond Street, Troy, N.Y.12180 following completion of work. This project is being solicited as an UNRESTRICTED procurement. The applicable NAICS code is 333120 with a size standard of 750.
