Description

This announcement is notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to Silver Rio Limited Partnership DBA Westin Riverwalk, 420 W Market ST, San Antonio, Texas 78205-2920. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). The requirement is for 1st Cavalry Division O ffsite for 125 double occupancy guest rooms service per day for two days (30-31 May 2008) and 50 double occupancy guest rooms service to set up on 29 May 2008 and 3 double occupancy guest rooms service on 1 Jun 2008 for a total amount of 303 double occupan cy guest rooms service. Also conference room space is required. On 30 May 2008: One conference room to accommodate 125 people for the offsite welcome reception (finger food) between: 1830-2130. On 31 May 2008 a total of four conference rooms for the fol lowing sessions, times and headcount: One Conference room for general session: 0800-1645, 125 personnel, rounds and Dinner/dance: 1900-2330, 125 personnel, rounds. Three conference rooms for Breakout session: 0800-1700, 25 personnel, theater style seatin g. On 1 Jun 08: Three conference rooms for the following sessions, times: and headcount: One conference room for general session: 0800-1200, 125 personnel, rounds and two conference room for Breakout session: 0800-1200, 25 personnel, theater style. Secu rity information: Hotel shall provide three trained security guards and one supervisor 24 hours a day; 25 or more security cameras throughout the building that are monitored continuously; Local Law Enforcement should augment the security staff by monitorin g the lobbies and hotel grounds throughout the weekend. Food and beverage meals/breaks provided by the hotel for the following dates: On 30 May 08, welcome reception (finger food), for 125 people. On 31 May 2008 Classic/Alamo Buffet Breakfast for 125 people and box lunch for 125 people. Afternoon break for 125 people of asst. fresh fruit (75 pcs), cookies (18 dz.), and brownies (18 dz.). On 31 May 08, plated dinner for 125 people. On 1 Jun 08: Continental Buffet Breakfast for 125 persons. *Requ est pitchers of water, coffee, and iced tea be available continuously (refresh as needed) during our occupancy of conference rooms (night of 30 May 2008, day of 31 May, and morning of 31 May 2008). Additionally, offsite requires one small conference room, with Internet and long distance calling capability, from 29 May 2008 @ 1200 through 1 Jun 08 @1300. Gov doesnt pay for alcohol beverages; Lodging Rate Applies IAW JFTR per diem military rate. Rooms will have capability for computer generated presentati on. All presentation equipment and technical support will be government furnished for the period of performance: 29 May  1 Jun 2008 at the Riverwalk, San Antonio, Texas.
