- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W9124708T0034 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-20. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 721110 with a small business size standard of $6M. This requirement is unrestricted and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2008-03-28 15:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com. FOB Destination shall be Multiple shipping information. The USA ACA Ft. Bragg requires the following items, Purchase Description Determined by Line Item, to the following: LI 001, Double Occupancy Hotel Rooms. Fifty-eight (58) Double Occupancy Hotel Rooms: Twenty nine (29) rooms are required for the night of 25 April 2008 and twenty nine (29) rooms. Personal expenses in rooms, such as movies, laundry, and room services shall be paid by the guest and shall not be billed under the resultant purchase order. In addition, the Government will provide a by-name room listing with arrival and departure dates, smoking preference, and handicap access requirements to the hotel prior to the commencement of the conference., 58, EA; LI 002, Roll Away Beds / Cribs Four Roll Away Beds, and 5 Cribs are required for the night of 25 and 26 April 2008., 18, EA; LI 003, Breakfast Buffet One hundred sixty (160) Breakfast Buffet: Eighty (80) breakfast buffets are required for the morning of 26 April 2008 and eighty (80) breakfast buffets are required for the morning of 27 April 2008. Breakfast shall be served from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM. Breakfast shall consist of breakfast pastries, seasonal fruit platter, and selection of beverages including coffee, tea, and an assortment of cold beverages for eighty (80) participants on both days. Price includes gratuity., 160, EA; LI 004, Lunch Buffet One hundred sixty (160) Lunch Buffet: Eighty (80) lunch buffets are required on 26 April 2008 and eighty (80) lunch buffets are required on 27 April 2008. Lunch shall be served from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on both days. Price includes gratuity., 160, EA; LI 005, Dinner Buffet One hundred sixty (160) Dinner Buffet: Eighty (80) dinner buffets are required on 25 April 2008 and eighty (80) dinner buffets are required on 26 April 2008. Dinner shall be served from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM on both days. Price includes gratuity., 160, EA; LI 006, Mid-Morning Refreshment Mid-Morning Refreshment shall be served for both meeting rooms (conference and childcare) on the 26 and 27 April 2008 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and shall consist of an assortment of cold and hot beverages and an assortment of fresh fruit for 80 participants per day. Price includes gratuity., 160, EA; LI 007, Conference Room One (1) Conference Room: Large Meeting Space/Conference Meeting Room on 25 April 2008 from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM and on 26 and 27 April 2008 from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM each day to accommodate 57 participants comfortably in a lecture environment. Tables shall be set with pens and paper for note-taking. In addition, hotel shall provide one (1) viewing screen for projection, one (1) microphone, one (1) hands-free microphone, one (1) podium and power outlets. Price includes gratuity., 1, EA; LI 008, Child Care Room One (1) child care room: A large room to accommodate up to 30 children is needed during conference meetings on 25 April 2008 through 27 April 2008. Price includes gratuity., 1, EA; For this solicitation, USA ACA Ft. Bragg intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. USA ACA Ft. Bragg is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time bids. All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. There is no cost to register, review procurement data or make a bid on www.FedBid.com. Offerors that are not currently registered to use www.FedBid.com should proceed to www.FedBid.com to complete their free registration.
