- NOTE: This requirement was previously advertised as DTFACE-07-C-27063, which has been cancelled and replaced with DTFACE-08-R-28036. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Project to renovate and refurbish approximately 3,500 square feet of interior office space at the Olathe, KS ARTCC. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following work in the renovation areas: 1. Removal of hazardous materials including asbestos containing materials and PCB-containing materials. 2. Relocation of existing furnishings from the work area to new locations within the building. 3. Demolition of existing architectural, mechanical, and electrical construction within the work area. 4. Construction of new wall partitions, doors, etc., and architectural finishes to the desired layout. 5. Construction of electrical lighting, power distribution, and telecommunications within the work area. 6. Construction of mechanical ductwork, devices, and environmental controls for conditioning of the work area. 7. Construction of fire detection. 8. Design and construction of wet-pipe sprinkler fire protection system for the work area. Crafts needed: Carpenters, plumbers, pipefitters, electricians, laborers, painters, sheet metal workers and soft floor layers. Contract time: 120 days *This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. Loans are also available under the DOT short term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
