- Description
- The Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center intends to issue a solicitation on a sole source basis with Solar Turbines, Inc. for the open, inspect, and overhaul of 2 each Solar Gas Turbine Model T1020S-30. Technical data and/or drawings pertaining to Solar Gas Turbines Inc are not available to the Government and are propriety to the OEM. Accordingly, it is believe that this non-availability of technical data precludes the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center from obtaining competition as they are available from Solar Gas Turbines, Inc. The procurement involves parts being procured from the prime equipment manufacturer or its actual supplier and ability to obtain all technical data to perform the overhaul. The solar gas turbines shall be shipped F.O.B. Destination to U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Rd., Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. See number notes 22, and 26.
