- The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Southeast Enforcement Division located in St. Petersburg, FL intends to add an additional 12 months to Purchase Order (PO) number WC133F-07-SE-0441 for the monthly rental of cold storage space for 106,680 pounds of seized frozen seafood, on a sole source basis from Atlas Cold Storage Holdings based on the following: 1) On or about April 18, 2006 the Southeast Enforcement Office seized 106,680 pounds for falsely labeled sole fillets stored at Atlas Cold Storage in Mobile, AL; 2) The illegal fish product is to remain in the custody of the NOAA Office for Enforcement until further notice; 3) To move the product to another storage facility would be an unnecessary additional expense to the Government and could compromise the quality of the product and the opportunity fore resale.
