Description: Form: Nickel Alloy/Honeycomb, Fit: 15 inches dia by 3 inches deep, Function: Stationary air seal with honeycomb I.D. surface mounts inside the first stage turbine ring and support assembly (TOBI Support) and seals against rotating knife edges at the forward side of the high pressure turbine. Assists in preventing cooling air leakage at the forward side of the high pressure turbine. Qualified source: Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford CT. This is not a total Small Business Set-Aside. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, technical capability, and past performances detailed in the solicitation. Note: an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
