- Description
- The Naval Oceanographic Contracting Office (NAVO) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Imagenex Technologies, 1875 Broadway Street, Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 4Z1, Canada. The purchase order will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 12 and 13 as a firm fixed price purchase order for approximately $53,000.00. The requirement is to have the original equipment manufacturer integrate its existing systems (Imagenex Model 837B, 260 kHz profiling sonar, Imagenex pitch, roll and heading sensor, and additional components) into a (Qty 1) Expeditionary Multibeam Kit and a (Qty 1) MBES beamformer kit. The original equipment manufacturer is only source available for integrating all these components together. IAW FAR Part 5.203(a) the anticipated award date is April 1, 2008. The Government requires delivery by April 29, 2008 for immediate use. The inspection and acceptance water testing will ocurr at the contractor?s facility. The contractor is responsible for shipping materials back to Stennis Space Center, MS. NOTE 22: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
