- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia intends to procure a configured, licensed, integrated and tested Software Development Environment (SDE)for Engineering Control System of the LPD 17 Class Ships that includes IT servers, workstations and proprietary and third party software packages. The software packages are to be configured, integrated and tested to ensure the capability of editing and generating successful rebuilds of the LPD-17 runtime control applications. It also includes licenses for usage of the proprietary software. The turn key environment consists of commercial hardware, vendor L-3 Marine Systems proprietary software and third party programs. The SDE will be similar to the development environment used by L-3 Marine Systems specifically to write, edit and successfully generate rebuilds of the LPD-17 runtime shipboard software. The SDE is required to be delivered 120 days after contract award. This is an Unrestricted procu rement. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, L-3 Marine Systems , 750 Miller Drive SE, Suite 100, Leesburg, VA 20175-8919, under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information provided. The solicitatio n will be issued on or about 11 April 2008 and will close 30 days ther eafter. All interested parties may download the solicitation and any amendments at http://www.neco.navy.mil or http://www.fedbizopps.gov at the approximate date listed for release of the solicitation.
