Description
The Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE) intends to award a sole source contract by exercisizing Option 4 of the Delivery Order This is to support the current Option Period under this contract. This award allows MSGI to conduct Project Management Support on behalf of the TMIP program. The Theater Medical Information Office (TMIP) is to obtain the services of Contractor expertise and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in support of the Military Health System (MHS) Information Technology (IT) Theater and related programs and supporting Force Health Protection (FHP) initiatives to include Joint Vision 2010/2020 and Medical Command and Control (C2) with an emphasis on Medical Surveillance. It provides for services for the TMIP Program office where the contra ctor shall provide support for DT&E, IV&V and OT&E to the TMIP program as identified in the approved Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP). This work is done in accordance with the TMIP Program Test and Evaluation Management Plan (TEMP). The contractor is to test and evaluate the delivered product on behalf of the Government. The following tasks will also be performed by the contractor: Test Lab/Environment, Conduct Test, Test Planning Support, IPT Participation, Independent Verification and Validatio n, and Documentation Support. Failure to award Option Year Four (4) at this time would result in loss of support to the warfighter who is using the TMIP application in Iraq and Afghanistan. This contract is for TMIP Program Management (PMO) Support services by MSGI, who currently perform TMIP Program Management (PMO) Support services. Failure to award this contract will result in loss of support to the war fighter who is using the TMIP application in Iraq and Afghanistan. Market research was conduc ted as the action is not available for competition. MSGI provides unique capabilities to deploy specially trained personnel to Iraq in the midst of the war. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract. This announcement is in accordance with F AR 17.202. The point of contact is Mr. Shawn E. However, all proposals received within one days after date of publication (N LT 21 March 08, 1:00 pm) of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Governmen t. Information re ceived will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
