Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number is W9124708T0043, and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The HHC, 37th Engineer Battalion is seeking proposals for a Firm Fixed Price contract for a Str ong Bonds Married Couples Reunion Retreat in Myrtle Beach, SC. This RFQ incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Number 2005-24, effective February 28, 2008. This solicitation is Unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 721110, Hotels (except Casino Hotels) and Motels. Period of performance is for April 10-13, 2008. This requirement is for thirty-five (35) modern, clean, carpeted deluxe resort oceanview or ocean front rooms for up to seventy (70) adults, with a minimum of one (1) queen or king bed for three (3) overnight stays on April 10, 11, and 12, 2008. Check-in time is required between 4:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on April 10, 2008. Check out time will be no la ter than 11:00 a.m. on April 13, 2008. All rooms shall be in the same building or main complex. Breakfast buffets for seventy (70) participants are required for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, April 11, 12 and 13, 2008 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. each morn ing. Lunch buffet for seventy (70) participants on Saturday, April 12, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Boxed lunches are required for seventy (70) participants on Sunday, April 13, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Two (2) dinner buffets for seventy (70) participants for Thursday and Friday, April 10th and 11th, 2008 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. One (1) conference room/meeting space is required for seventy (70) participants for three (3) days and are as follows: April 10, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. 7:00 p. m.; April 11, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; and April 13, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This same meeting space will be needed for mass registration/delivery of keys on April 10, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This same meeting space will be u sed for Breakout Sessions on April 11, 2008 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Refreshments are required for the conference room dated April 10, 11, and 13, 2008 and the mentioned times. An AV projection screen and podium (with microphone wired to house sound system and capable of projection to entire ballroom and 100 person capacity) and cordless microphone and cordless handheld microphone (total of 3 mics) setup and sound check included. Local Shuttle Bus option to area shopping and/or boardwalk attraction s. (a) The Government will evaluate offers in response to this request and award a purchase order/contract to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to this request, will be most advantageous to the Government considering price and other factors (e.g., delivery, and/or quality). Award will be made based upon the best value to the Government in accordance with procedures in FAR 13.106-2(b). A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. Before the offers specified expiration time, the Government may acc ept an offer (or part of an offer), whether or not there are negotiations after its receipt, unless a written notice of withdrawal is received before award.
