- A. This project will engage am Architect Engineering firm to provide Contract Drawings, Specifications, Construction Cost Estimate, Engineering Calculations and Construction Period Services for the above referenced project, specifically to involve: 1. Replacement of all the fire sprinkler valves and flow detection (tamper switch) devices in Buildings 1, 28 and 29 (approximately 45 devices). Replace all valves with residual type valves and include all piping and testing necessary to meet the latest NFPA standards. 2. Replacement of all the underground control valves on the facility's main water distribution loop (approximately 35 valves) with residual valves and replacement of the main 6 and 8 inch distribution lines making up the loop. It is estimated that there is approximately 1,800 linear feet of water distribution line involved in this scope. 3. Contract Drawings, Specifications and Engineering calculations shall supply a complete design to the satisfaction of the VA. 4. The A/E shall provide a detailed construction cost estimate based on the contract drawings and specifications. All designs are to be to VA design criteria. The A/E firm must have an active production office within a 500 mile radius of Amarillo, Texas, and must be 100% small business. Submission of SF 330's are due NLT April 10, 2008. Estimated construction cost is $250,000 - $500,000. NOTE: SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.
