- Description
- The subject requirement is for the acquisition of diesel engine replacement parts from the MTU Detroit Diesel Commercial Price List, Cage Code 72582. An Indefinite Quantity Type Long-Term Corporate Contract with one base year and 4 option years is anticipated. The total duration base plus option years shall not exceed 5 years. Small Business Size Standard is 1000. Solicitation will be unrestricted with other than full & open competition. The solicitation will be available on 11 April 2008 at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/rfp. Hard copies are not available. ONLY RESPONSIBLE AUTHORIZED DEALERS FOR MTU DETROIT DIESEL CORP MAY SUBMIT AN OFFER. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, past performance, delivery, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The initial solicitation will consist of 3,103 sole source NSNs that cross to the commercial price list. In lieu of offering individual pricing for each of the 3,103 NSNs, offeror?s will offer a discount off of the dealer net price in the MTU Detroit Diesel price list. These NSNs have been identified as sole source to MTU Detroit Diesel. Additional NSNs may be added to the subsequent contract at a later date as a separate action, therefore, offerors must be able to offer any item that is listed on the MTU Detroit Diesel price list. Delivery orders will be issued against the subsequent contract for the following: Customer Direct (DVD) Priority 4 through 15, DLA Direct (Stock) for all other requirements. FMS requirements will not be issued against the subsequent contract. The delivery schedule will be as follows: Customer Direct (DVD) is 5 days, DLA Direct (Stock) is 15 days if item is stocked in vendor?s inventory, DLA Direct (Stock) is 30 days if not stocked in vendor?s inventory, Out of Production is 90 days. FOB Destination is required. Inspection & Acceptance is Destination. Specifications, plans, or drawings are not available. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data, therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304 (c ) (1). Approved sources are authorized MTU Detroit Diesel Corporation dealers. Note 12 is applicable.
