Description
This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources of supply for Environmental Control Units (ECUs) with a nominal capacity of 9,000 BTUH cooling and 7,000 BTUH heating in a horizontal configuration. One electrical version of the ECU is required: 115 Volt, Single Phase, 50/60 Hertz. Overall dimensions and weight: 26.00 inches deep, 16.00 inches high, 23.75 inches wide and 175 pounds maximum. The ECU will be a rugged, compact unit capable of providing cooling and heating over a wide variety of e nvironmental conditions, including temperatures from -50 to 120 degrees F. The ECU must be capable of being transported off-road by tactical, wheeled vehicles without sustaining damage. The ECU must meet EMI requirements. The ECU must be easily maintain able by soldiers in the field. The ECU will be installed as a form, fit and functional replacement for old, legacy units, and will be integrated into a broad variety of high visibility, tactical Army systems. Technical requirements for these units are ba sed on the previous family of units developed under MIL-A-52767. Additional, detailed requirements can be found in the Purchase Description (PD) for this ECU: PD 4120-0114B, dated 24 Mar 1998. A copy of this PD is available from the Army POC listed belo w. Other critical requirements include the fact that an extremely short window exists for the manufacture and delivery of these ECUs to the Army. This is a non-negotiable requirement and is as follows: required total ECUs to be delivered to the Army is 1,410 ea. Once the contract/order is placed, the Army requires delivery of a minimum of 108 ECUs per month starting 60 days from order placement with total delivery to be completed NLT Dec 2009. Suppliers capable of furnishing this ECU as specified above must so indicate in writing to the Commander, US Army CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-E-EC (Greg Wesley), Bldg 1200 West, 1st Floor, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5043 or via e-mail to Gregory.Wesley@us.army.mil. The response must include a statement that the suppl ier will warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army. The deadline for response is 4 Apr 2008. EMAIL-ADDRESS: Gregory.Wesley@us.army.mil
