DESC: OC-ALC/848CBSG/PKD, CONTRACTING, 3001 STAFF DR STE 1AE1 98C TINKER AIR FORCE BASE OK 73145-3032. Item 0001/0002 is a Circuit Card Assembly. NSN: 5996-01-154-8708JY. P/N: 6-7171. Function - The emergency power unit controller consists of a chassis assembly, five plug-in printed wiring assemblies, and interconnect printed wiring assembly, a top cover, and a front panel. Mounted on the front panel are two electrical connectors, two indicator lights, and a switch. Mounted in the chassis assembly, behind the front panel, are 10 diodes, 2 trasnistors, a resistor, and a radio interference filter. Dimensions: 4.75 inches H X 3.59 inches W X 9.19 inches L 5.24lbs (approx.) I.A.W. current drawing. Quantity: PR L/I 0001 - qty 3ea production, L/I 0002 - Qty range Min 1 ea and Max 2 ea. Destn: Tinker AFB OK 73145-3032. Delivery sought: PR L/I 0001 30 Sep 2008, L/I 0002 31 Aug 2009. The approximate issue date of solicitation will be 9 April 2008. The approximate response due date of solicitation will be 9 May 2008.The anticipated award date is June 2008. Qualification Requirements apply. Due to the complexity and criticality of this part, only actual manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design, can be considered approved sources for this item. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. Written quotations are required. To: Honeywell International Inc. -Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed above. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source selection process.
