- The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with United Radio Communications of Oak Lawn, IL to provide installation of (1) CAREpoint EMS Communication System for the VA Medical Center North Chicago, North Chicago IL. This procurement includes installation of the MERCI antenna system, all transmission lines and connectors, interconnect jumpers, plus the configuration and testing of all components to insure compatibility and accuracy of the CAREpoint EMS system. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302 - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. NAICS 238210 - $13 million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements, may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by 2:00 PM on March 28, 2008. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC-GLAC, Building 5, 5000 W. National Ave. Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with United Radio Communications, Inc.
