- Description
- This project consists of reestablishing native road surfaces on the upper Pierce Creek and Troy Creek roads of the West Fork Ranger district on the Bitterroot National Forest. The contractor shall reestablish cushion material to specified depth on native surfaced roads, using mobile rock milling equipment to manufacture cushion from in-place boulders and bed rock in the road surface. The contract work includes, but is not limited to, watering, mixing, blading, shaping, and compaction of processed material into a smooth non-segregated road surface. The work also includes construction of driveable drain dips. Clearing of roadside brush and vegetation, including the disposal of material generated, as needed for project operations, will be allowed and shall be incidental to payment for the processing of cushion material. This project will be advertised as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The RFP will be issued on approximately February 5, 2008 and will be posted on this website (www.fbo.gov). The estimated start work date for this project is April 1, 2008. No pre-proposal site visit is scheduled.
