- Description
- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a firm fixed price contract for a base one year with four additional one year option periods for the following service: Re-covering of Inking in rollers. The Government will on an as needed basis provide quantities of rollers to be remanufactured and returned to the BEP. All interested contractors must request in writing and submit a bid sample roller and the request for a bid sample roller must be received no later than March 28, 2008. The BEP will provide the contractors with a sample roller and the contractor shall re-surface one bid sample roller and return the re-surface roller to the BEP for technical evaluation. The evaluation criteria will be accomplished in two stages; the first stage will be on a go/no go factor. The contractors bid sample roller must meet the specifications as provided. The second stage of the evaluation will be the technical review of the quotation package which shall include a explanation of how the contractor intends to comply with the requirements. The BEP will deliver a bid sample roller to each interested contractor. It shall be the vendors responsibility to return the re-surfaced roller to the BEP no later than April 22, 2008 .The contractor shall not be reimbursed for the recovering of bid sample roller. Award will be made to the contractor whose proposal represents the best technically acceptable value to the government. All services are to be provided in accordance with the attached Statement of Work (SOW). This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set Aside.
