Description

We intend to award a sole source contract to Applied Optical Systems, 1700 Capital Avenue, Suite 50, Plano, Texas 75074, to purchase various Fiber Optical Hermaphroditic Assemblies that consist of: (a) 70 each - 6 Ch Herm Plug to Plug Assembly, 100 f t; (b) 266 each - 6 Ch Jam Nut Receptacle w/strain relief to SC Assembly; (c) 70 each - 6 Ch Jam Nut Receptacle w/strain relief w/self closing dust cap to SC assembly; and (d) 1 each 6 Ch Herm Plug to Plug Assembly 1500 ft on reel. These tactical fiber o ptic cables and connectors are components only manufactured, developed, and maintenance by Applied Optical Systems, who has proprietary rights. These items are compatible, and interchangeable with the existing equipment. Other than full and open competitio n will be used under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services will satisfy agency requirement. This is Not a Request for Quotations. No Solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming.
