- Description
- The 436th Contracting Squadron intends to make a sole-source award to Advance Weight System Inc., 409 Main Street Grafton, OH 44044-1205, Maintenance prevention service for the moment weight scale; model #AWS-808, 2 ea. Mechanical calibration, check precise location of calibrator subassembly (10-000-498) and the counterbalance knife edge (10-000-423), the accuracy of the cradle system on the cradle jaw subassemblies (30-000-215) and (30-000-216). This is to be accomplised using moment software (version 2004). Provide centerline of knife edge, capability of weight basket, prove ring weight at 4000 grams, prove weight of calibration bar, use calibration rod to prove jaw on cradle M-59, prove weight at 2000 grams, prove weight of ring bar M-35, use calibration rod to prove jaw on cradle M-35, check aligment of fluid dampener, and upgrade any software if required. Under the authority provided in Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.106-1(b), the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Interested parties are invited to submit information concerning their capabilities, experience, and other data pertinent to their ability to provide the same type service without voiding the warranty or maintenance agreement of the equipment no later than 21 March 2008, 0300 PM. Pricing data may be submitted. Written responses must provide clear and concise documentation indicting your firm?s capability to provide the proprietary services. This is not a request for proposal and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the results of an evaluation of the information received. No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received; however, this information will be used in the Contracting Officer?s assessment of capable sources. The size limitation for email attachments is five megabytes per individual email message. Only email responses will be permitted. If after 21 March 2008, 0300 PM no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, the Contracting Officer shall initiate a contract award solely to AdvanceWeight System Inc.
