- Description
- Contractor to provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, and supervision of necessary for construction of the project entitled, "Upgrade Bldg. 1, HVAC-Phase VIII" at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 601 Hwy 6 West, Iowa City, Iowa, 52246, will include the replacement of the two AHU's and associated equipment/ductwork and controls, and the replacement and installation of circuit setter balancing valves and isolation ball valves so that the chilled water lines can be isolated each floor and wing. The replacement of the Cath Lab AHU will use the existing space along with the space on the 9th floor above so the equipment can be easier to maintain. The replacement of the Canteen AHU also consists of the addition of a VAV system and new lighting in the canteen space. Work includes demolition, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and control changes as shown on drawings and specifications. Cost range is within $500,000 and $1,000,000. NAICS code 238220, size standard $13 million. This procurement is 100% set aside for SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED BUSINESS. Any amendments issued to this solicitation and bidder's mailing list will only be available on the website. Contractors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all amendments. The solicitation will be available on April 7, 2008. Bid opening date is May 7, 2008, at 2:00 P.M., local time.
